Can I use my domain name immediately?

Once you have chosen and registered your domain name it usually takes up to 12-48 hours for all the DNS servers across the internet to see your domain.

This means that while you might be able to access your domain, your next door neighbour might not if he is using a different DNS server.

If you want to work on your domain before it has resolved you can do so by accessing it using your cpanel/ftp service but replace the domain name with the IP address sent to you in your Hosting Account setup confirmation. Once your domain has fully resolved you can replace the ip address with the domain name.
